At the last championship event, on 4 November, in Shanghai, the title was contested between teams Haima and Hyundai Beijing, both supported technically by Motul. The battle was already raging in lap one and a serious collision involving Wan Jincun's Yaris forced the safety car to appear straight-away. In lap five, the race was again being fiercely fought with drivers intent on battling it out.
Xie Xinzhe took advantage of a collision between Liu Yang and Chen Xu to take the lead of the race, but Cui Yue lay in ambush. In lap seven, he managed to pass Xie Xinzhe, followed by Sun Zheng, and pushed forward somewhat. Behind, in lap nine, Lin Lifeng also managed to pass Xie Xinzhe to occupy 3rd place.
Following a race incident, the safety car came back on the track in the last lap, to leave just before the last turn. Cui Yue crossed the arrival line first, but a weight problem appeared during checks and he was disqualified. So Lin Lifeng was declared winner. This situation allowed Xie Xinzhe and team Haima to clinch the championship title, after a most fiercely fought season.
