The Muscovite team distinguishes itself in 'cost calculation'

01.08.2012

Formula Student is a very special competition in that it challenges students from engineering schools to design and build a single-seat racing car with an internal combustion engine, meeting certain characteristics laid down in the regulations. At each meet, points are awards in several events: static, such as design and car cost and dynamic, such as acceleration, gymkhana, endurance. They take place on different circuits worldwide and some even count for a World Cup.  The Formula Student Austria took place on 20 July at the Red Bull Ring, in Spielberg.

On this occasion, the team of students from the Moscow State University of Mechanical Engineering (MAMI), supported by Motul, won first place in the car cost calculation event, ahead of 40 university teams from the whole world!

The next meet for the Muscovite team will be that scheduled in Germany at the Hockenheim circuit. It will count for the Formula World Cup, which was not the case for the Austrian event. Previously, the Muscovite team will travel to Karlsruhe University to make the last adjustments to the car.
