The Intercontinental Le Mans Cup finishes magnificently.

Pending 2012 and the advent of the WEC, in other words the World Endurance Championship, the seventh and last round of the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup was held in Zhuhai (China) on 11, 12 and 13 November.

A partner of the Asian Le Mans Series in 2009 and 2010, Motul renewed its confidence, for the occasion, in the Automobile Club L’Ouest by becoming an Official Partner of the sole round of the series held in China, the world's biggest car market. This way, in addition to being allocated a turn with its logo, Motul was also present at the arrival to award the best technical achievement prize.  At the podium ceremony, team Ptrs Racing (Formula Le Mans No. 90) was awarded this trophy by Daniel Yi (Motul China).

As for the results, note should be made of the double wins by teams Peugeot and BMW who took victory respectively in the LMP1 and LMGTE Pro categories. In LMP2, it was team Signatech Nissan (Oreca-03 Nissan) which crossed the arrival line first. Last, in   LMGTE Am, Lietz-Roda-Ried's Porsche clinched its first success of the season. Just behind, we find team Larbre Compétition. Supported technically by Motul, the team which had bagged the title in its category in the previous event experienced a few small mechanical glitches.

Roll on 2012 for the WEC, a FIA world championship which will include 8 rounds (including the 24 Hours of Le Mans). The first round is scheduled for 12 March 2012 with the 12 Hours of   Sebring (USA).
