Jérémie Warnia crowned European Champion

22.08.2012

Jérémie Warnia has known he is European Quadcross Champion since 15th July. Indeed, he was crowned the day after the La Capelle-Marival round in the South of France, thanks to victory and second place in the two races.  The Motowocs Can-Am team has benefitted from long-time technical support from Motul and the team’s rider, despite his crown, competed brilliantly on 11/12th August in the final round of the European Championship at the Kegums circuit in Latvia.  He reconfirmed his talent in both races:  in the first, it took him three laps to pass leader Andro Halliko and, in the second, he made a great start and maintained the lead until the finish.

In the discipline’s French Championship, Jérémie Warnia also occupies the lead thanks to the carry-over of points from the European Championship, but the suspense remains tangible. Indeed, at the Saint-Mamet round on 21st/22nd July in the heart of the Cantal region, nominal French Champion Romain Couprie devoted himself to boosting the championship by winning the first race. Warnia suffered from a broken right footrest and finished 3rd.  In the second race, Couprie emerged as the best again and Warnia, although suffering from the physical effects of the first race, snatched 2nd place. The final round at Arras on 16th September promises to a great battle for victory in the French Championship.
