ADR-Delta pips its opponents at the post

30.08.2012

The 56 seconds separating the winning Audi from the Toyota that took 2nd place at the 6 Hours of Silverstone on 26 August clearly show that endurance is a genuine sprint. The two manufacturers competing in LMP1 gave the public of some 35,000 enthusiastic spectators a show worth watching. Audi's win allows it to be already crowned 2012 World Champion.

In LMP2, the gap is even slighter, a mere 6 seconds between the  Oreca-Nissan of Martin/Charouz/Graves and the HPD ARX-Honda of Sarrazin/Potolicchio/Dalziel, which reflects the fierceness of the fight in this class! The Oreca-Nissan was entered by ADR-Delta, based in Silverstone and supported by Motul: this brilliant win allows it to take 2nd place in the Championship. In this same class, Motul also supported Pecom Racing with another Oreca-Nissan, that came 4th, with Companc/Ayari/Kaffer, while we find in 5th place another team supported by Motul, Greaves Motorsport, with the Zytek-Nissan of Brundle father and son, paired with Ordoñez.

In LMGTE Pro class, team Luxury Racing supported by Motul was unfortunately absent. Nevertheless, in LMGTE Am, the Corvette C6.R Larbre Competition nr 50 managed to successfully overtake  Felbermayr's Porsche and clinch 2nd place but at post race scrutineering it was excluded for not complying with the safety rules.

Motul also supported the Classic Endurance Racing series weekend support race. After bagging the best time in the trials, Rob Hall won the two hour event at the wheel of his splendid Matra 670B, one minute and a half ahead of O'Connell's Chevron B36: when it comes to historical cars the time gaps are greater.

Four rounds remain to take place, the next being scheduled for 15 September in Sao Paolo.
