3 new Motul 2011 champions in Canada!

The GT Challenge and GT Sprint championships, organised by the CASC (Canadian Automobile Sport Club), gave their verdicts at the beginning of October at the Mosport track at the eighth and last round of the 2011 season.

These racing weekends always attract a large panel of racing cars as the regulations are particularly open here and allow gentlemen drivers of all levels to find their ideal category among the six to be chosen from. Several races, lasting from 1 to 3 hours, are programmed each weekend, offering maximum track time to contenders. Also, mirroring the World GT Championship, a mid-race pit stop is mandatory (with the possibility of changing driver), so as to maximise the sport challenge for race strategy buffs...

In addition to being the GT Sprint (races with a shortened duration) title sponsor, Motul can be pleased with being the technical partner of the three 2011 winners: Nigel Krikorian (Subaru Impreza) indeed took the crown ahead of his brother Nicholas in the GT1 category (the fastest cars), the duo Chan/Taylor (Chevrolet Cobalt) won in  GT4 and Richard Foegele (Mazda Miata) dominated the GT5 championship.

We'll be back in 2012, to try and do even better!

GT1 standings:

1/ Nigel Krikorian (Subaru Impreza - 405 pts) Motul
2/ Nicholas Krikorian (Subaru Impreza - 258 pts) Motul

3/ Allan Lewis (BMW M3 - 207 pts)
