With Motul, Rickey Gadson remains Drag Bike king

26.11.2012

On his Kawasaki Ninja 14R Drag Bike, Rickey Gadson dominated the RST (Real Street) category throughout the season. Supported technically by Motul, he indeed won four of the six races of the season, clinching the last three ahead of the Suzuki Hayabusa Turbo of 2012 Mirock Champion, Johnny Turbo.

But then this isn't Rickey's first feat! His charisma and talent have allowed him to give another dimension to this discipline, which is now regularly reported on by the media. Rickey now has ten drag racing world champion titles to his name and, in 2010, clinched a record at 350.83 km/h on the salt lake of Bonneville, on a 245 hp machine, becoming the world's fastest Afro-American rider. He is also the most titled two wheel dragster racing contender.
Today, he manages a riding school, the Rickey Gadson Drag Racing School, which he opened the day he realised it was possible to cross 400 metres from a standing start in under 10 seconds with a production machine, provided the rider has been well prepared.   His 28 years of experience are of course precious for all the amateurs who come to watch him. 'In this discipline, the most difficult thing is to get a good start!' affirms Ricky. Strong sensations guaranteed!
