Motul partners the International Six Days Enduro

10.11.2012

For the first time in 23 years, the International Six Days Enduro (ISDE) took place in Germany in the länder of Saxony to the east of the country. This event is one of the oldest of the kind as this was its 87th time. It also boasts a long tradition in Saxony, with the many MZ successes in the 1960s. This year, at end October, Motul was a partner of the entire event, with a prominent visual presence, while also supporting the German team by providing it with products. Bringing together more than 480 riders, the event was held on 1,400 km of tracks with teams from several countries contending.

It was however dominated by the French team which won the three team categories, four of its six team-mates having clinched the first four place in the individual standings. Behind it, we find the Australian team, also very strong: despite several wounds, its riders continued to battle it out to remain in the points lead. The Italians came 4th in the World Trophy, although they lost one of their riders on the third day.

The French also won the Junior World Trophy, but the German team did well in the Women's Trophy by clinching 2nd place, just ahead of the fighting fit Australian team, which finished six little minutes behind.
In 2013, the ISDE will head south to the Italian island of Sardinia.
