Last round a success for Team Motul Autech!

21.11.2012

On 17 November the JAF Grand Prix Fuji Sprint Cup 2012 took place in Fuji, as stated in its name: it was a round outside the championship which marked the end of the Super GT and Formula Nippon championships. On this occasion, Motul provided its technical support to several teams contending in Super GT 500 (Motul Autech Nismo, Dome Weider Team, KeePer Kraft) and  GT300 (R&D Sport Subaru and S-Road NDDP Racing).

The first race was greatly disturbed by rain and had to be interrupted in the eleventh lap as absolutely huge puddles had formed on the track. For Motul Autech, Michael Krumm, who left 8th, had managed to progress to 4th place at the time of the unexpected halt. Carlo Van Dam, for Honda Weider Team, finished 7th. Race two took place in much sunnier and dry conditions and, for Motul Autech, Satoshi Motoyama also gave a fine performance: having left 5th, he regressed to 9th place before finding a very rapid pace allowing him to cross the arrival line 4th. For Honda Weider Team, Takashi Kogure secured the same place as his team-mate, 7th.

In Formula Nippon, the two Motul teams came in the Top 10. Naoki Yamamoto of team Mugen (Honda HR12E) indeed finished the race 8th while Toshihiro Kaneishi of Team HP Real Racing (Honda HR12E) crossed the arrival line two places behind him.
