Leaders of the French GT Championship since the second meeting of the season, Anthony Beltoise and Laurent Pasquali continued in the same vein at the GT Tour final. Winners of race one thanks to the strategy of team ProGT by Alméras, the duo thus put the finishing touch to a magnificent season.
Organised on the Paul Ricard HTTT circuit, this final truly kept all its promises with spring weather, many spectators, a wide number of events and a sprinkling of guests of honour like Sébastien Loeb.
As always, the French GT Championship was the star attraction with a duel for the title between the Porsche of duo Beltoise / Pasquali and the Audi R8 of Ortelli / Hallyday, with Mercedes SLS, BMW Z4s and Ferrari 458s also battling it out. Absent from this last round of the season, team Larbre Compétition supported technically by Motul, and which won in 2010, finished for its part third in the 2011 standings.
The French GT Championship will be back in 2012!
