MOTUL's answer to the realignment of Opel's motor oil approval system is called MOTUL Specific dexos2TM 5W30. The fully synthetic mid SAPS motor oil has been reformulated according to GM Europe's changed requirements.
MOTUL has launched the MOTUL dexos2TM 5W30 motor oil for GM vehicles. This is the lubricant brand's reaction to the new approvals introduced by GM Europe for all new Opel models in Europe. The new GM dexos2 approval is prescribed for oil changes in vehicles from model year 2010 with petrol and diesel engines with diesel particulate filter. GM Europe's changed approval system comes into effect with the Opel Astra, winner of the Golden Steering Wheel 2009, awarded each year by "Bild am Sonntag" and "Auto Bild". The new fully synthetic mid SAPS motor oil MOTUL Specific dexos2TM 5W30 with standards ACEA C3 and API SM/CF has been formulated specially for the requirements issued by GM Europe for Euro 4 and Euro 5 spark ignition and diesel engines.
It is recommended particularly for vehicles where the manufacturers Opel, Vauxhall and Saab prescribe use of a motoroil to "GM Opel dexos2TM". The product offers downwards compatibility with Opel GM LL-A/B-025 and is suitable for all fuel types such as petrol, diesel, biodiesel, bioethanol E85, natural gas or liquefied gas. "With the development of this innovative lubricant, MOTUL once again shows how important it is to work today on developing products for the engines of tomorrow", emphasizes Alexander Hornoff, Technical Director at MOTUL Deutschland GmbH, with regard to the strategic alignment of the lubricant brand.
