Krasnoïarsk, in the heart of Siberia, more than 4,000 km from Moscow, is a natural paradise for snow sports. On 18 December this icy region saw the holding of an event of the snowmobile championship, the Winter Race, for which Motul was a partner. The competitions were for two disciplines: snow drag, an acceleration race on a 200 metre 30% slope — a snow dragster race in a way — and snow-cross, on a track traced on a ski slope. Despite the - 20° C displayed by the thermometer, the participants got their machines seriously hot. In snow-cross, the youngest participant, Nikita Mescheryakov, went off the track, which did not however prevent him from finishing the day third. In snow drag, a genuine speciality of this Winter Race, nobody could resist Anton Nikitin's very rapid Yamaha turbo snowmobile.
